Lab grown diamond and moissanite can both create a bright, durable everyday ring, but they do not look identical. Lab grown diamond has the same crystal structure and optical behavior as mined diamond, while moissanite usually shows more rainbow fire.
Choose by visual preference
If you want a classic diamond look, a lab grown diamond is the closer fit. If you prefer stronger fire and a lower budget, moissanite can be an excellent choice.
Think about the whole design
Stone choice is only one part of the final ring. Proportion, setting height, side stones, band width and metal color all influence how the finished piece reads on the hand.
